  • 1 packet White Wings Crafted Chocolate Twist Loaf
  • 2 oranges, zest finely grated
  • 2 oranges, juice strained
  • 3 tbsp CSR Caster Sugar
  • 1 orange rind cut into thin strips

  1. Prepare and roll out dough mixture as directed. Grease and line a 38cm sheet tray with baking paper.
  2. Prepare butter as directed and stir through the orange zest. Spread butter over dough, leaving a 2cm border, then scatter with the chopped chocolate pieces and gently press into dough.
  3. Starting from the longest edge, tightly roll the dough to enclose the filling. Cut the rolled dough lengthways to expose the filling. Join the two cut pieces together at the ends and then cross over each other, forming a plait until the dough is twisted to the end.
  4. Gently lift the twisted dough onto the baking tray, and form a round wreath shape with the dough, fixing the two ends of the dough together.
  5. Cover loosely with a tea towel and set aside in a warm place to prove for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 180C conventional or 160C, fan forced. Once proved bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
  7. Meanwhile, for the orange glaze place the juice and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring for 2-3 minutes or until the sugar dissolves. Add the additional orange zest strips and simmer for a further 2 minutes.
  8. Spoon the glaze over the chocolate twist covering the entire wreath, arranging the candied rind on the top. Serve warm.
